Here's my Saturday Soundtrack

If you have yet to hear Andrew Bird, check his stuff out! It's worth the listen. Multi-instrumental folk/folk rock. He has a lovely voice and plays the violin, glock, guitar, and even whistles. If you've seen "The Muppets", Walter's talent showcase is provided by the ever so talented, Andrew Bird. I'm in musical love! :) There are so many wonderful tracks on his album Noble Beast, but I'll just share this pretty gem.

Let's Stay Togetherrrr

Man, I'm super thankful for my friends and family. I don't know how I got to be such a lucky lady. This week I've been able to spend a lot of time with some great people that God has placed in my life. :) :) A couple of weeks ago, I decided to deactivate my facebook for many reasons. The main reasons being that I felt like I read about people's lives more than actually spending time with them. I also felt like I allow myself to be distracted too easily. I don't appreciate the down time and silence enough. Honestly, if God has things to show me; I'm not so sure I'd see them coming my way right now. Since I've been missing on facebook, I've had so much time! hah No kidding, right? I've seen lots of folks, made new friends, done lots of things I enjoy, talked to Jesus lots. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and it's not always a bad thing! Not sure if I'll decide to reactive the 'ol facebook, it may not happen. It did occur to me, however, that I'll be missing out on connecting with my friends and family far away. Hopefully I'll update and blog here a little and of course there's always email and the cellular telefono. Let's stay connected! :) Love ya lots, Tiff

Spring Breakkkk

This has been my fav. spring break to date. I had the pleasure of spending time with so many loved ones and exploring some of my favorite spaces and places.
It's back to work next week (which I don't totally resent) but til then, I'm living it up!

I love God. I am so thankful that through this very interesting year of my life, he's helping me understand more of him. The irony is that in focusing on finding less of myself, I am beginning to understand who he has created me to be. I can't even begin to fathom his grace or love, but man am I excited to share it. He offers me unconditional love and everlasting life and makes me into a new girl. He's one heck of a guy.

Take a Walk

Turn off the T.V., put down your cell phone, walk out the doors of your house and enjoy God's creation. Smile at the kids playing at the park, keep walking until you discover something new. Feel the pavement below your feet and run. Don't stop running until your sides are splitting. Take a moment to thank God for your side splitting pain because it reminds you that you're here. You're living. Your possibilities are endless. Now take a risk. Don't settle for existing. Start living.

The past few months, my class has been fascinated with the fact that I am not married. I usually shrug it off and change the subject. This week after repeated attempts at the, "why aren't you married convo?" by a fiesty little girl, I gave in.

"I'm not married because I don't want to be, yet."-Miss Heath
"WHY DON'T YOU WANT TO BE!!???!"-Fiesty
"People get married when they are in love with someone they want to marry and that person loves them and wants to marry them too."-Miss Heath
"Ew ew ew ew!(heheh *giggling*)and then you kissy!"-Fiesty
"ha!"-Miss Heath
"It's not ew! It's special! Miss Heath, that is so special."-Precious little girl

and because I am just a sap... I came home tonight and finished watching Away We Go. So brilliant. Their love is special, and I love love love the way he looks at her. It spurred my thinking. I don't have, nor do I want to have, a list of what I'm looking for. I believe love happens. However, there are certain details that I find very beautiful about the way a man treats a woman he loves. Here's that list: ;)
1.When he stares into her eyes as though her entire being is within them.
2.When he calls her pretty or beautiful (not hot).
3.When he teases her.
4.The way he holds her when he doesn't now how to fix something for her.
5.The way he rolls his eyes when she won't stop talking and beams when she realizes she is talking to much.
6.The way he calls her out on all her crap because he knows she is a better person than she is displaying.
7.The way he isn't afraid to be himself and vulnerable no matter what he's going through.
8. When he remembers the smallest details of things that were so close to her heart.
9.When he creates something for her.
10.When he wants to be better for himself and her.
11. When he talks to God about her.
12.The ultimate test of love: when he agrees to watch chick flicks with her! :)
